The “Grey’s Anatomy” star spoke in an interview with Good Morning America about his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Eric Dane got emotional while describing his new routine.
“I wake up every day and am immediately reminded that this is happening,” said the 52-year-old actor, who received the diagnosis in April.
“I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel like this is the end of me,” continued Eric Dane, known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“I’m grateful to have my loving family by my side as we face this new chapter,” he said, asking for privacy during this difficult time.
Despite his health condition, Eric Dane will return for the third season of HBO’s “Euphoria.”
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a neurodegenerative disease that weakens muscles and affects physical functions.
